What is Body Sculpting?
Body sculpting, also known as body contouring, is a cosmetic procedure designed to reshape and refine the body's appearance by reducing fat, tightening skin, and enhancing muscle tone.
Our STAR T-SHOCK machine uses a thermo-kinetic process applied to the body that transfers cold and heat, alternated in a dynamic and controlled way. The thermal shock stimulates the thermoregulatory responses of the body and speeds up metabolic processes. This results in “Crystalized” fat cells physiologically evacuated from the body over the following weeks.
Is It Safe?
Yes! It is a non-invasive, all-natural, scientifically-based answer to eliminating stubborn fat deposits when diet and exercise are not enough. There are generally no side effects apart from increased urination over several days following the treatment. In very few cases, there was localized redness that disappeared after a few hours and in rare cases, there was local pain that did not exceed 2 to 3 hours.
Are There Any Contraindications?
There are some. Anyone with the following conditions should not receive treatment:
- Severe kidney disease or dialysis
- Active cancer / chemotherapy
- Severe Diabetes
- Pregnancy
Anyone with an open abdominal hernia should not receive a fat reduction in that area. Botox and fillers should not be used two and four weeks respectively in advance of facial treatments.
What Do Treatments Feel Like?
The 30 - 60 minute treatments are either executed manually through a slow massage over the selected area of the body or with static pads. Each session will begin with clean skin followed by a light gel application. The treatment begins with heat or cold, alternating between the two at varying times and temperatures. It is a non-invasive and painless treatment that feels like a light massage.
What Areas of the Body Can Be Treated & How Often?
T-Shock Slim is best for your stomach, love handles, under arms, bra-line, glutes, double chin and inner or outer thighs and can be performed every two weeks. Dead cells are evacuated through the lymphatic system and will eventually pass through the kidneys. Waiting two weeks ensures that the lymphatic system and kidneys are not overloaded.
T-Shock Tone is best for your face, arms, legs, and stomach can be performed every 2-3 days.
Can You Target Treatment Areas?
Yes! We have a unique thermographic system that can detect and measure the location and density of fat within the body. It can pinpoint cellulite on the legs and identify abdominal adiposity, or excess fat accumulation around the abdomen. This technology allows us to measure the results from each Cryo Sculpting session.
How Many Sessions Are Needed?
There are individual factors that affect the type, frequency, and quantity of treatments needed. This includes someone's weight, body mass index (BMI), fat density and desired treatment area(s).
After a Cryo Sculpting session, the body goes through a detox process to release the discarded fat cells from the body. This process is unique for each person and can be affected by different factors, such as weight, diet, stress, and overall health.
In most cases, 5 to 10 sessions are generally recommended in order to achieve a drastic transformation.
